Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Frontier close-and-compliance platform (the “Service”) provided by Frontier Accounting LLC(“Frontier,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you (“you” or the “Customer”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service is a business tool used by Frontier and its authorized clients to perform month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and related compliance work. The Service may connect to third-party systems, including QuickBooks Online, at your direction.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The Service is intended for business use by Frontier personnel and authorized client representatives. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your business. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, Frontier grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes during your engagement with Frontier. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works of the Service, except as permitted by law.
4. QuickBooks connection
If you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize Frontier to access your QuickBooks company data through Intuit’s API for the purpose of providing the Service. The connection is read-only. You represent that you are authorized to connect the QuickBooks company and to permit this access. Your use of QuickBooks Online and Intuit’s services remains subject to Intuit’s own terms and policies. You may disconnect at any time, which revokes our access at Intuit and deletes the stored connection tokens for your organization.
5. Customer data
As between you and Frontier, you retain all rights to the financial and business data you provide or make accessible through the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant Frontier the right to access, process, and store Customer Data solely to provide the Service and to perform the accounting and compliance services you have engaged us for. Our handling of Customer Data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other organizations’ data, or related systems.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Do not upload malicious code or use the Service to violate the rights of others.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, for hosting, authentication, and the QuickBooks connection). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Frontier does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data drawn from third-party systems will always be complete or accurate. The Service is a tool that supports professional services; it is not a substitute for professional judgment.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frontier will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Frontier’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the fees you paid to Frontier for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if no such fees were paid.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Frontier from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. Either party may end your access in connection with the end of your engagement with Frontier. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service. Upon termination, your license ends and we will handle remaining Customer Data consistent with our Privacy Policy and our professional obligations.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where preempted by applicable federal law.
